These are the notes I complied to accompany a lecture I gave on self-publishing at The Center For Cartoon Studies in March of 2008. They  represent most of what I learned during the first five years of self-publishing my minicomic Phase 7. These notes can help new cartoonists get started by giving them tips on how to draw, reproduce, distribute and promote their comics.
